it didnt work cuz when u use a hdmi it sets the ps3 to that. i had the same problem when i used my friends hdmi and went home to my av cables. while the ps3 is on standby(off) while the light is still red hold it in until you hear it beep. that resets it and it will be ready for just av cables

You have to plug it into the HDTV and switch the video settings to this AV setting in order for the video signal to be sent to the correct place.

Those lines are a pain in my butt!! they have made the game almost unplayable the amount of times i have died in games bc of them! this review helps me so much. going to go and get them ASAP!!
