Well... I never asked for this game. I got it from my dad who knows I love baseball. And I'm happy he did. It's a pretty good game. Although there are some bad things. Such as the commentators always being a pitch or even a plaay late on their calls. Or that some players don't even look like they do in real life. Some aren't even the same race. I also disliked that you couldn't change that in edit a player mode. Also some of the players in the minor leagues in this game don't even exist. Like who the hell is Kirby Rollins (minor leaguer according to the game)? The graffics weren't bad though. And I did enjoy create a player mode. But I disliked that some players had a lower or higher overall average then they should've. All though you could easily change that in the handy "edit a player mode". This game is good and I highly reccomend it.

I am a Rockies fan, and I bought this game during Summer of 2008. Was I in for a huge let down! This game did not even look like the way it does on T.V. After I bought this game I started playing it and the graphics are not very good. It is extremely hard to even hit the ball. The batting and fielding controls stink, and everytime I play I am in for a huge let down. The commentators also repeat themselves on calls made. The only upside to this game is the team/ and player variety, plus the chance to play Triple-A Ball Games. I bought this game new and it was a waste of my money. Since then I have bought MLB The Show. I will never by 2k Sports products for PSP again, but hey that is only my opinion. MLB 2k7 was a much better game! I do not recommend buying this game!

I've been playing MLB 2K8 for the past eight months and now have countless hours at the plate. I have been entertained for every second of it. This game has solid graphics that give a true representation of a day at the park. With no sudden pop-up backgrounds lurking behind the stadium or players on the field that look like cardboard cutouts, this game can certainly hold its own in the appearance department. The crowd noise and sounds of the game are clear and crisp. When you lay wood to a 400' home run, you know it! There is, however, a substantial lag in the timing of the commentary from the booth. The game's commentators will fall behind at times and will be a pitch or two behind. But they do have a wide variety of sampling, so their comments do not become annoyingly repetitive. The controls are what make this game fun. Instead of over thinking the process, 2K has made playing the game fun! I never find myself struggling to remember how to pick-off a runner on first and make a move to steal second. The variety of ways that you can alter the pitching controls makes it possible to find the perfect interface for any player. The game play benefits greatly from how it is controlled. It also does a great job of giving individual players an individual feel. When I pitch a game with my #1 starter, it is completely different from when my newest scrub is on the mound, and you can feel that in the game. Little things like the difference in their individual curveballs or the speed of their fastball is evident as you play. And it has direct impact on the outcome of the game.Major League Baseball 2K8 is a solid and highly entertaining game that makes sports games fun for me again, rather than an over worked repeat of confusing controls and frustrating results (Madden designers take note). It is more than a current roster on last year's game. It's nine innings of fun in your pocket, ready to go any time.

major league 2k8, bring's something new to the baseball games out there!, either tho the control's are different from last years version, once u get the hitting down your good, and the stealing bases are much harder, than last's year's version, u really have to watch the pitchers movement's and time ur steal with the right lead off jump!, the only thing i wish they would add when coming out with the 2kbaseball games, try to add more crowd noises, and crowd participation's with the team's, especially the home team, and yes please try to make the player's look more like what they look like!!, beside's those little thing's on here the game is fun to play if u ask me!!, Let's hope that 2k9, bring's us those feature's cause i'am ready for a new animated game with real detail's to bring the best out of a baseball game!!!

I bought this game because it was less than The Show 08. I should have spent the extra cash. The contols for pitching are great. The fielding controls are OK, but a little slow at times. The batting controls are awful! If you try to swing for a low pitch it doesn't always happen. I strike out way too much. The simulated braodcast is not in sync. Plays are called one play behind at times. The graphics leave a lot to be desired - not sharp, and all the pitchers bodies are the same. The bat doesn't even appear to hit the ball on gameplay or replays. I started to play a season, but after saving and shutting the game off and turning it back on, I couldn't figure out how to start playing where I left off. I would not recommend this game.
