Awesome Game

All I know is that if I can recreate my Blackwing Deck in a Yugioh game then its awesome. I have a beatstick Blackwing deck on this game which I also really have that pwns but the sad part is that it took me like two weeks to assemble all the cards I needed since you have to waste money on junk that really has no reward at all....

This game is the best. I played the yu gi oh championship 2011 for ds and i hated it because it took forever for the other player to think up moves and the interface was awful. I was hoping this yu gi oh game would make up for that and to my suprose it exceeded my expectations. First of all i went in to gamestop and asked for a used version and they gave me a new version at a used price! so i got the promo cards and everything which was awesome. The graphics are not the best but they still do a good job showing all the cards and characters. i wish there was some way to zoom into the pictures of the cards so that i could appreciate the art a bit more but that's ok. The music is ok not annoying but not really amazing in any way. the gameplay is where it shines. the card interface is really well thought out and although there are a zillion cards it never feels too cluttered. it is easy to add and take out cards from trunk to deck to extra deck etc. there are also handy search functions to make looking for certain cards way easier like typing in keywords or searching for effects. Playing the computer is really fun after you get past the start and obtain some good cards. at the start of the game the CPU is really really really intimidating. some random girl CPU summoned a 5 headed dragon in one turn and all i had were lousy beast cards. once you finally start getting good cards it gets way more fun. in battle you can shoose to turn off/on a lot of different options to make the game feel more comfotable to the player. the best part of dueling is that the CPU is pretty smart but it doesn't take them forever to decide what to do so the duels are pretty fast paced. in the ds game the cpu would take forever to think up moves which was a total game breaker for me. there's like hundreds of duelists to play against and you can do story mode (it's not really a story you just get to walk around and talk to people) or free battle. there's also a sim game element to the story mode where you can make friends according to how you talk to them and that's how the story gets moving. i really like this game and i am totally addicted to it

This game was alright but having to earn hearts is annoying. But at 10 bucks used is a great deal for any gamer. If you like Yu-gi-oh it's a great game to get.

The story mode is mostly the same; fill hearts on the screen for each character till you get to the end.
The gameplay is just as good as the others but the ai could be improved.
The graphics are a step up from the last ones. I like how they made the areas more linear, similar to a sidescroller.
A huge issue with these games is that the NA version removes the voices. It'd be nice if i could get some decent voices in the next 10 or so installments. I feel that since we're in an age where we have AR technology and 3d images w/ no glasses they could at least leave the original voices intact if they don't want to dub. I mean, they already translated the lines, right?
This game will last you a long time, especially if you have friends with the same game. if TF2 is any indication I'm going to pass 100 hours with only 50-73% completion.
Overall, as a card game it's a very good rendition of yugioh TCG. I personally love it except for the MIA voices.

Boooooo
This game is perfect for: hardcore gamers
i played most of the Yu-Gi-Oh! games, but this one is totally different. if there is one thing i liked about this game is it's story mood. most of the Yu-Gi-Oh! games are kind of boring " beat the guy win a card and go to the next one" but Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's has more than that. Basically you can build your friendship with other characters and make them your friends to duel with them against the enemies. Depending on your enemy you get to choose your partner, of course you must have different card packages already saved so you can use them with different partners. Also depending on how many friends you have, they'll ask your help for different missions..... I ALREADY FINISHED THE GAME TWICE, BUT I STILL DIDN'T PLAY ALL THE MISSIONS THAT THIS GAME HAS.....

I only played YuGiOh Tag Force 2 and I got addicted to that game. So I figured that if i get Tag Force 5 with Synchro Summons I could be able to create a new deck with a new flow. I bought the game and what the heck!!!! Right when I played one random NPC, I find myself struggling to win the first match. I hate it how these NPC's have overpowered decks. These aren't even important players. I battle a kid, and he pulls out a Crystal Beast deck!!!!! I don't get it!!!!! On top of that, I still get that lame BEAST deck!!! which is horrible for starting. I can understand getting a beast deck for tag force 2 becuz at least those decks are beatable. Since the NPC's in Tag Force 5 are so overpowered, it's so hard to get money. So I can't even build a decent deck yet. Why are the players so hard to BEAT?! They're just random people! So now I find a player that I feel that I can finally beat decently, I go to the Free Duel option in the main menu thinking that I can stack up points from winning against him over and over again. BUT NO, after I win the match I get 1120 points =D, but WHAT?! I also get -560 points for a "Free Duel Penalty"....WHY DO YOU EVEN INCLUDE THAT?!....I want to play this game so I can BUILD DECKS I CAN'T BUILD IN REAL LIFE....that way I can have fun playing YuGiOh without the expense of actually trying to unload my bank account trying to build a Lightsworn (Just an example) deck. I know this review seems rather negative and really annoying but I just want to let future customers of this game get an idea of what the game is. For the Good parts, I love how the game looks much more "older" than the GX series. I really like it how "myself" has a more older and I guess "gothic" look (little earing on the right ear ^^ lol). It's kind of nice that they added a little spice onto the character to give him a pizazz.. The card library seems like it'll hold a LOT of cards so you basically build any deck you want. I haven't unlocked all the packs yet (for obvious reasons >.<) but it seems that the selection has grown quite a bit from tag force 2 (I'm just comparing it to tag force 2 cuz it's the only other game that i have played for the tag force series). I kinda of miss the bird's eye view running around, but I'm diggin' sidescroll. It means that the graphics on characters look way better and I can get a better close-up on people. PLUS, when I talk to them, they have their own appearance which is great ^^. I still have faith in the Tag Force series though ^^. So all in all, I really hate the duel system that's going on becuz the players are overpowered, but I like it how the game has improved on looks and features. I'd probably still reccomend the game to a friend but warn him/her with caution lol

This game is amazing-and since 5D's is my favorite series out of the three ugo animes, it makes it even better for me.
The beginning decks are cool-and I adore my beast deck which has been edited a bit-adding Red Dragon Archfiend and a few other fiends and dragons to it (I'll admit it-I'm a Jack Atlas fangirl.) and tag duels are as fun-albeit a bit annoying at times depending on who you're dueling with-as always.
I think the only thing that would've made it better would've been character customization-or at the least gender selection, but oh well-that's what the DS UGO games are for! Lol.
Anyway-it's a very fun game and gives me stuff to do-and you actually have to use your brain instead of the constant violence of games like fighting/shooters i have a habit of playing. C:

I was realy happy when i first purchased this game. I played it alot but after a wile the story mode gets boring and hard. Because you have to always talk to a character and make them happy so there heart will increase and you have to buy them things so they will get more happy. And that can cost you alot of money especialy because you need money to buy good cards. Whhat i HATE the most about this game is that you are not alowed to have the god cards. BUt in every other Yugioh game i have played you are alowed to use them. Also the tornement part, it doesnt matter how good of a deck you have you nedd a partner on a realy high level or its pretty much impposible to win. And i REALY LOVE the synchro summoning part of the game its realy fun and easy to do. The only realy awsome thing about this game is that it has soooooooo many card choices that you can pretty much have eny card you want. And another cool thing about this game is tha when you play a rare card like Blue Eyes White DRagon it shows like the monster acctualy be summend like a holograph form and it acctualy attackts with white lightning. I mean this game is the newest one out there so if you want to realy get it then get it. But my personal favortes are the gx games and i would recomend those. All in all this is a disent game and i would reccomend it to people who want to try yugioh 5d games!!!!!!!!!!

You are obviously wrong and not a fan of Yugioh to begin with. Not that I have played this one because I didn't know it existed, thanks for not advertising its existence. Look point is the person who argued about them starting you off with an animal deck must not have played Tag Force 2 because the majority of the deck was built for beast. It is true that starter decks besides Tag Force 1 and 4 aren't pure built decks. Both coming with a water deck, wasn't thrilled about it but easy to change with even a poor intelligence score. Tag Force 2, you didn't even require Tag Force 1 to replace the deck, just grab Jaden and spam 400 friends game. And if you hated the Hero deck, restart the game after you got the 10,000 dp to buy 5 boxes of whomever's deck you preferred. I don't see why Dueling with a deck of animal cards is so hard though. There are plenty of pure animal decks that crush even Main character decks. Its not the deck that counts its the player, and of course a few over designed trap cards like Mirror Force. I'll probable pick this up after Christmas with remaining credit from Gamestop. I am a little annoyed though that Gamestop or America for that matter never released TagForce 3 i wanted to play alongside Jaden and his Neo-spacians which thanks to the creators of the TagForce series(dubbed) you don't get that option unless you buy it Canadian dubbed. Plus of course who wouldnt want to fight down Evil Hero's that was my favorite thing about the elemental hero's they could become anything almost. Elemental, Evil and if u count Neos. I kind of want to make a rebuild of the Yugioh Universe for psp.

Yu-Gi-Oh! 5Ds Tag Force 5 is an interesting game with an amount of card that's more than enough for a duelist to play with. It has the most recent cards, some new features like a complete redesign map you get to switch the time whenever you want and on top of that you get to can choose the music you want to play. Nice cinematic for most of the monsters. About 4700 cards man!!!!!!! can't miss such opportunity hey all yu-gi-oh fans get this you won't regret it.

Definitely a great game and a great entry into the series, i like that it keeps cards from the old series while adding the ones from the new series.

If your a fan of the Yu-Gi-Oh series, and/or Card game this is a game for you, But because of the small text you may want to pick up a PSP Component Cable to play on your HD TV to help avoid eye strain when your at home.
